Our Administrative Team
Lincoln High School is dedicated to putting the district's mission into practice: "Lincoln Public Schools is committed to excellence. In partnership with all members of the Lincoln community, we inspire and empower each student to excel personally and intellectually, embrace social and individual responsibility, and lead with integrity." Per our 2020 NEASC review, our administrative team continues to help ensure that Lincoln has a robust high school that offers many opportunities, as well as providing the highest forms of education possible. Here at Lincoln High School, the overall culture here proves that learning is valued. Lincoln High School's core values and expectations affect all facets of the school's culture, academic programs, and co-curricular activities. Adherence to these standards in all of these areas is evidenced in the decision-making processes that accompany the implementation of social expectations, academic expectations, and curricular development. These, in turn, are supported by adequate resource allocation to produce the desired results. Since administration and faculty continue to use the school's core values, beliefs, and 21st century learning expectations to drive the school's curriculum, instruction, and assessment, and use them to guide policies, procedures, decisions, and resource allocations, reflected in the culture of the school, LHS will continue to be successful with this standard.

Meet the Principal
Mr. Ken Hopkins Jr. has spent 20 years in educational settings as a teacher, coach, and administrator. After serving as a teacher at Mt. St. Charles Academy while coaching basketball at Cranston High School West, Ken began his administrative career as an assistant principal at Vincent J. Gallagher Middle School in 2011. In 2015, Ken was named the RI Assistant Principal of the Year. After a tenure as both assistant principal and acting principal at Smithfield High School, Ken led East Greenwich High School for the 2020-21 and 21-22 school years as principal. Also, Ken was previously the Director of Career and Technical Education for the Cranston Public School system.
Ken is extremely proud of consistently working to bring inclusive practices, especially for students with special needs, to every school and district of which he has had the opportunity to serve. Most notably, Ken had the privilege of coaching the first middle school Unified Basketball game in the country (Gallagher vs. Barrington). Additionally, he has led two schools to achieve Special Olympics National Unified Champion School Banner status (Smithfield and East Greenwich High Schools), recognizing the outstanding work of the school communities to foster acceptance, inclusion, and respect for all.
Ken has presented at the National Association of Secondary School Principals Conference, has served as a NEASC (New England Association of Schools and Colleges) Accreditation Chair, and currently is the education co-advisor on the state education Business Management, Finance, and Marketing advisory board. Ken has previous volunteer service through RI Special Olympics, the Real Men Wear Pink of Providence, CLCF Basketball, and Cranston Western Little League.
Ken is a lifelong Rhode Islander, and has a beautiful family with his wife, Cristina, and their children, Lillian and Kenny III.
