First grade at Northern Lincoln Elementary is an exciting year of new and diverse learning oportunities for our young students. Our first graders begin to lay the foundation for a lifetime of learning and emotional growth inside and outside of the classroom. Each student with the help of teachers, parents, staff, volunteers, and classmates, begins to understand and accept the challenge of investigating thier world, while becoming successful independent and critical thinkers.

Northern’s first graders begin to see and identify their own abilities, creating more confidence and awareness of the increasing role they play as members of, and contributors to, a healthy community.
