Third grade at Lonsdale is the year when students discover the fun and exhilaration of deep thinking and expand their indenpendent learning abilities. With more maturity and a stronger academic foundation, third grade students begin to apply skills in reading, writing, and math in order to expand their knowledge of the world around them.

Our role, as teachers, parents and caregivers, evolves right alongside our young learners. With stronger indepence and confidence in their abilities, our students grow more self-motivated learners. We encourage positive peer relationships. We encourage them to be innovative math problem solvers, scientific thinkers, and engaging writers. We encourage their thirst for knowledge and to seek it in every subject, and by doing so we plant the seeds for a rich and fruitful life of learning.
