Saylesville Elementary kindergarten introduces our youngest learners to a nurturing, child-centered, environment, focused on helping young learners develop as students individuals. Teachers at Saylesville Elementary know that kindergarten is a period of rapid growth in our students and create programs to develop the critical thinking, social, emotional and physical development of students, while introducing them into the larger Saylesville Elementary community.
As students progress with core classroom subjects, teaching is enhanced with instruction tailored to individual students, enhancing and building upon strengths while address specific needs. Young learners are supported with extra-curricular enrichment activities both during and after the traditional school day. Kindergarteners at Saylesville also interact with elder students, along with grade teachers as they prepare for future challenges in upper grades.
