Kindergarten at Lonsdale greets our youngest learners with a warm, nurturing, child-centered, learning environment. Teachers at Lonsdale Elementary know that kindergarten is a period of rapid growth in our students and create programs toward developing the “whole child.” These programs focus on the critical thinking, social, emotional and physical development of students as individuals, while helping them become important members of the Lonsdale Elementary community.

As students progress with core classroom subjects, teaching is enhanced with instruction tailored to individual students, enhancing and building upon strengths while addressing specific needs. Young learners are supported with extra-curricular enrichment activities, both during and after the traditional school day.
