If your child is to receive a doctor-ordered medication while at school, it must be delivered by an adult in an original container with a corresponding label. At the time of delivery, a med sheet must be signed by a parent or guardian. A doctor’s note or a copy of the prescription must accompany the medication to direct proper administration. This includes both daily scheduled and emergency meds relating to chronic medical conditions such as asthma, allergies, diabetes, seizures, etc.
Over the counter medications to be given under parental direction also require a signed med sheet and specific parameters as to the administration of the med.
Nurse Robyn Rao will be available in the main entrance conference room during our first week of school to facilitate the delivery of medications, accept updated physicals and answer any questions or concerns.
