Students are responsible for understanding and adhering to this policy, as well as the Lincoln Public Schools [appropriate policies]. Questions about the use of generative AI systems should be directed to the building IT staff or the Director of IT. The Lincoln School Committee seeks to maintain and protect confidential information, including confidential information received through email or other electronic means and confidential documents, and further to maintain confidentiality of district, students, parents, and employees and other information as provided by state and federal law.

It is the policy of the Lincoln School Committee that all school department related communications between the Lincoln Teachers’ Association, the Lincoln School Department non-certified employee Local 2671, the Lincoln School Department administrative staff and the Lincoln School Committee will be conducted through the Superintendent of Schools, who should be informed of communications between staff and school committee members prior to any such communication.

A need exists to establish a uniform system for the award of contracts by the District utilizing appropriate open cooperative bids provided by Rhode Island General Law. The Lincoln Public Schools establish this policy to ensure that all financial transactions are in compliance with state law and regulations, and acceptable to the Town of Lincoln School Committee.
