Objective 4:  Northern Lincoln Elementary School students will benefit from an environment that engages in effective communication between parents, staff, students and community.

Strategy #1   All students and families will be in communication with the school through clear reports of expectations and activities.

Strategy #2   Students and parents will benefit from consistent grade level progress reports

Activities that support the strategies/action plans

             Design grade level progress reports for timely intervals.

             Evaluate and revise parent/student handbook.

             Continue PTA monthly newsletter, Cliff Notes and develop SIT communication.

STRATEGY: We will work towards better communication between school and home.

RESULTS: The Learning Community will have clear, expected communications to promote student learning.

 

Changes in student learning behaviorWhat will students do to reach the identified results?  How will we know whether students are developing these behaviors?

Changing Instruction What will teachers do to ensure students change their learning behaviors and attain the result?

Monitoring progress with timelines and adjustmentsHow will we measure progress towards the changes in learning behavior and teaching that we want?  How will we keep the principal, parents and SIT informed and involved?

Collaboration and SupportHow will we use the information we get to improve our program?  When will we discuss the progress we are making?

Resources, School and DistrictHow will the district and school leadership ensure that the school reaches the results?

Evaluation of Success/reporting to Families and CommunityHow will you know if the students reach the intended results?  How will you inform the school community?

 

 

  1. Planned reports will be devised and reported via SALT survey.

 

  1. Parent contract embedded into handbook to be signed and returned.

 

  1. Homework and agendas will be utilized and signed by parents.

 

 

  1. Monitor return of signed reports, agendas and contracts.
