What is
S.I.T. and How Does
it Affect You?
The School Improvement Team is a committee of
school faculty, associated faculty, teachers and dedicated parents
helping to ensure that objectives are met, problems are solved, and
critical issues are raised to a level of awareness.
There are six primary objectives that we hope to achieve:
- All
staff will participate in professional development activities and
training to improve student achievement in standards-based
curriculum and promote the social, physical, and emotional well
being of the school community.
- Ensure
that faculty and staff have ample opportunities to plan, collaborate,
and review curriculum and instructional practices.
- Provide
the school community with a safe, healthy, well maintained and
aesthetically pleasing school grounds and facilities.
- Work
to improve, encourage and further develop effective communication
between the school community and family.
- Achieve
standards and meet the needs of diverse learners using dynamic and
innovative practices.
- Provide
support staff and services to meet the needs of the school
community.
