What is S.I.T. and How Does it Affect You?

The School Improvement Team is a committee of school faculty, associated faculty, teachers and dedicated parents helping to ensure that objectives are met, problems are solved, and critical issues are raised to a level of awareness.  There are six primary objectives that we hope to achieve:

  1. All staff will participate in professional development activities and training to improve student achievement in standards-based curriculum and promote the social, physical, and emotional well being of the school community.
  2. Ensure that faculty and staff have ample opportunities to plan, collaborate, and review curriculum and instructional practices.
  3. Provide the school community with a safe, healthy, well maintained and aesthetically pleasing school grounds and facilities.
  4. Work to improve, encourage and further develop effective communication between the school community and family.
  5. Achieve standards and meet the needs of diverse learners using dynamic and innovative practices.
  6. Provide support staff and services to meet the needs of the school community.
