What is Adopt-A-Book?

          The Adopt-A-Book program is maintained by the school library.  The program has been initiated to increase the number of books in our library through student, parent and faculty participation.

How does it work?

          The school librarians, Mrs. Rose and Mrs. Walker, select a number of books. These books are available for adoption by children, parents, friends, and teachers.  The price to adopt a book  in the program varies between $6.00 and $21.00).

          An updated list of books and a form is available in the library upon request. Adoption of library books is strictly voluntary.  If you wish to adopt a book, please print out the form at the bottom of this page, fill it in and place it in an envelope marked Library. Include cash, a check or a money order made out to Northern Library Fund. 

          After a book is adopted, a bookplate will be placed inside it with the name of the adopter and a dedication.  This person will be the first to sign the book out from the library. You also receive a Certificate of Adoption as a thank you!

          Mrs. Rose, Mrs. Walker and the Library Staff would like to express our thanks to all parents, students, friends,  teachers, and staff members who have participated in this program in the past.  We hope the Adopt-A-Book program will continue to be a great success.
