Mission Statement

Our Mission

 The mission of the Northern Lincoln Elementary School community is to optimize the education of all children by using best practice instruction that is varied and student centered with standards based curriculum in order to ensure the intellectual, social, emotional, and physical development of each student as a responsible learner.

Guiding Beliefs

*     The strength of a community is its ability to advocate for all its children.

*    Every individual in the school community has a responsibility for the education and well being of its members.

*    Our school is a community where honesty, responsibility, respect and caring are important and practiced by all.

*    All children deserve to come to school ready to learn each day.

*    Learning is a continuous life long process for children and adults.

*    Learning is knowledge, comprehension, analysis, synthesis, and evaluation of information and that instruction should reflect each domain.

*    High expectations and high standards for all learners result in higher achievement.

*    Each student learns differently and should be provided with learning experiences designed to optimize individual potential.

*    Differentiated instruction, grouping, scheduling and prioritizing instructional time are elements of an effective school.

*    A valid and reliable assessment system is necessary to monitor student progress.
