Welcome to the Saylesville Elementary School Website! We hope that you find the information available to you informative and useful.  Below please find some important information regarding our daily schedule:

·         The school day begins at 8:55 a.m.  All students who walk or who are driven to school should plan to arrive at 8:50 a.m.  Adult supervision is not available until that time. 

·         The school day ends at 3:20 p.m.  When the dismissal bell rings students line up and walkers/pick-ups are dismissed, followed by students who ride buses.  Buses are loaded in the order that they arrive. 

·         If you drop-off and/or pick-up your child at school, please refrain from using the driveway in front of the school as it is reserved for the buses.  

·         If your child is going to be absent from school, we would appreciate receiving a phone call from you on the day of the absence.

·         Breakfast and lunch are available to all students at a cost of $1.00 for breakfast and $1.75 for lunch.   Milk is also available for $.50.  Families may also qualify for assistance.  You may apply by completing a lunch application form which is available in the school office.  They are also sent home with students on the first day of school. 

·         If you would like to speak to your child’s teacher and/or arrange to meet with him/her, please send a note to school with your child or call the school at 723-5240 to leave a message.  Your child’s teacher will then contact you.
