Congratulations to Ms. Susan Johnson who has recently met the standard for National Board Teacher Certification, set by the Board of Directors of the National Board for Professional Teaching Standards (NBPTS). Ms. Johnson is now certified early adolescence through young adulthood/career and technical education. We at LMS are very proud of her accomplishments in this very difficult endeavor. |

Congratulations to Mrs. Barbara Marsden, science teacher ; Mrs. Elizabeth Ramsbey, math teacher on the and Mrs. Christine Mellor, math teacher for being nominated to receive a Presidential Award for Excellence in Mathematics and Science Teaching by Principal Bruce J. Macksoud. The Presidential Awards were established by an Act of Congress in 1983 and are administered for the White House by the National Science Foundation. Each year the program recognizes outstanding mathematics and science teachers from across the United States for their contribution in the classroom and to their profession. Award winners serve as role models for their colleagues, inspirations to their communities, and leaders in the improvement of mathematics and science education. We wish them the best of luck in this important and distinguished endeavor.
