Writing a Bibliography

A bibliography is a list of resources that are used to complete an informational project. The list may be placed at the end of a paper, web page, PowerPoint presentation or it may accompany a display. A bibliography is useful in these ways:

  1. It gives the authors of the resources used in creating the project credit for their work.
  2. The list lets teachers know where the information was found.
  3. A bibliography tells the person viewing the project where more information can be found on a particular topic.

There are different formats students are asked to use when completing a bibliography. It is very important to follow the format you are given by your school or teacher.

***Important. If you need to use a second line, always indent the second line five spaces, like a paragraph (website makes it difficult to show this below)
