The Lonsdale Parent/Teacher
Association is proud to continue the Adopt-A-Book program.
What is Adopt-A-Book?
The Adopt-A-Book program
is sponsored by the L.P.T. in cooperation with the school library.
The program has been initiated to increase the number of books
in our library through student and faculty participation.
How does it work?
The school librarian, Mrs.
Ouellette, selects a number of books. These books are available
for adoption by children, parents, friends, and teachers.
The price to adopt a book is the average cost of the books in
the program, $10.
An updated list of books
and a form will be sent home several times during the year. Adoption
of library books is strictly voluntary. If you wish to adopt
a book, please fill out a form and place it in an envelope marked
L.P.T. Adopt-A-Book. Include a check for $10.00 made out to L.P.T.
Please make 3 choices in case the book you have chosen has already
been adopted.
After a book is adopted,
a bookplate will be placed inside it with the name of the adopter
and a dedication. This person will be the first to sign
the book out from the library.

The L.P.T. and Mrs. Ouellette
would like to express our thanks to all parents, students, friends,
teachers, and staff members who have participated in this program
in the past. We hope the Adopt-A-Book program will continue
to be a great success. |
