Looking for a good book?  One that YOU will like? These sites have reviews by teens for teens and other information about outstanding books.

  • RI Teen Book Award (http://www.yourlibrary.ws/ya_webpage/ritba/ritba10/ritba10.htm) The eighth annual Rhode Island Teen Book Award. Nominees range from the funny to the creepy, from exciting to sad. Voting will take place in January 2010. This year’s titles look amazing! You must read at least 3 of the books on the list to be eligible to vote.
  • What's Next?: Teen Series and Sequels (http://www.mcpl.lib.mo.us/readers/series/juv/) provides lists by series name and author, in case you're not sure of the order of books in a series you're reading.
  • No Flying, No Tights (http://www.noflyingnotights.com/index2.html) is a site with reviews of graphic novels for teens, broken up into sections by genre and "new" reviews. While the titles on the site and recommendations are good, please note that it hasn’t been updated since 2008.
  • Greenville Public Library’s “Radical Reads” Page (http://www.yourlibrary.ws/ya_webpage/yabibliographies.htm) is a HUGE collection of good fiction bibliographies by topic. The lists are in Word 2003 format, and if we don’t own the book here, it should be available through the Public Library.
  • TeenReads.com (http://www.teenreads.com/) has reviews of new books, stuff about current authors, and recommendations for good reads. Mrs. Reeve highly recommends this site if you’re looking for some suggestions for a good book!
