  • EBSCO Databases (http://search.ebscohost.com/) is bigger, stronger, and more powerful than the old MAS Online! Search over 600 full-text magazines, over 200 full-text newspapers, or a health database in the High School Resources. Teacher Resources has over 500 professional journals for education, more than 300 of those are peer-reviewed. Literary Reference Center gives author information and critical articles.
  • Gale eBooks (http://infotrac.galegroup.com/itweb/linc02865?db=GVRL) has the full-text of over 220 sets of reference books, available online. All subject areas are represented. This is a great first stop when doing any kind of research paper/project!
  • Science Reference Center (http://search.ebscohost.com/login.aspx?authtype=ip,uid&profile=ehost&defaultdb=sch) has reference articles, primary sources, statistics, and magazine & newspaper articles about all of the sciences.
  • Points of View (http://search.ebscohost.com/login.aspx?authtype=ip,uid&profile=pov) gives viewpoint essays, magazine & newspaper articles, primary source documents on hundreds of current and controversial topics. A great resource for persuasive essays or Exhibition!
  • World Book Online (http://www.worldbookonline.com/) is a general encyclopedia online, and a lot more. It’s an especially good place for Exhibition students to go when looking for content standards—all the RI standards are available by grade level in the “Educator’s Toolbox.”
  • ABC-CLIO Social Studies Databases (http://www.socialstudies.abc-clio.com/) Four databases with loads of great stuff on people, events, and places. We get American History, World History: Ancient & Medieval Eras, United States at War, and World History: The Modern Era. On all of these databases are ebooks related to the topics, and help with research and citations.
  • Choices Planner (http://www.access.bridges.com/) is a college and career exploration program that is easy to use and will help in determining good career choices as well as colleges where you can pursue courses that will help you get into the field you want.
