  • Middle Ages Internet Links (http://www.wideopendoors.net/middleages/websites.html) is a list of Web sites related to the Middle Ages that were put together for a class, arranged by subject.
  • Shakespeare: Criticism of Individual Plays (http://shakespeare.palomar.edu/playcriticism.htm) has *some* freely available online criticisms of Shakespeare’s plays. The main site does have a lot of very good information on Shakespeare and his life & works.

  • American Literature Anthology Writers' Index (http://www.shsu.edu/~eng_wpf/amlitchron_index.html) has the works of most major American Authors that are in the public domain and can be posted legally online. Click on an author to view his or her works!
  • Poets.org (http://www.poets.org/) is the official web site of the Academy of American Poets, and includes poems, biographies, and news from the world of poetry! And remember, April is National Poetry Month!
  • High School Ace's English Links (http://highschoolace.com/ace/english.cfm) Poetry? Literature? Vocabulary? All these and more are linked to at the High School Ace's English page. Links are clearly arranged by topic. Tips and information on how to set up that pesky MLA format are here too!
  • Providence Public Library (http://www.provlib.org/) has biographical and critical information databases on American, British, and World Authors. You need your CLAN card to use them--choose "electronic resources at home" and then "Literature Resource Center." Type in your CLAN card barcode number, and search away!
