The Nurse's Nook

Welcome to the Nurse's web page. It has been created to inform and entertain the students and families of Lincoln Central Elementary. The information contained in these pages is not meant to replace competent medical evaluation and treatment. As you know, I am not a doctor and would never pretend to be. So, if you need medical advice, please consult your family physician.

The year 2008 marks my 28th year in nursing. I graduated from Rhode Island College in 1980 with a BS in Nursing. From college, I went to work Rhode Island Hospital where I gained experience in many different areas of nursing. During the last 10 years, I worked in the operating rooms of the main hospital and in the Hasbro Children's Hospital.

My love of children brought me to school nursing and inspired me continue courses in education. I worked one year at Lincoln High School before coming to Lincoln Central.

On a personal note, I am still single and I enjoy spending time with my two nieces who live nearby. Recently, I have begun to learn how to sketch and paint with watercolor. While these are my new hobbies, I still love to read.

If we have not met yet, please stop by the Health Office. Just look for the Alaska license plate and you're there.
